The exterior and grounds of this hotel are really beautiful and extensive to walk around with the dog. There are ravens at the water tower which was interesting and I really loved how they lit up all the spooky trees around the grounds. It would be perfect for an older couple wanting to stay somewhere in beautiful countryside but not too difficult or far to walk. We enjoyed the lovely Country Park too where there at lots of mature trees and birds. The location is also excellent for other more challenging walking places such as croft quarry and we also went to Bradgate Country Park which is an awesome landscape with all kinds of deer including red deer and also good for birds. For the price we didn't expect much and the room was basic which is expected with a dog, so we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the location is. There are some really nice cafes in the historic little town nearby like maison rose which we'd thoroughly recommend. We only stayed as we wanted a couple of days somewhere different but not too far from Cambs, so we're pleasantly surprised by what Leicestershire has to offer. The pool is also a bonus, you do have to pay about 4 quid as its a separate business across the gardens but well worth it and you can have massages etc if you like. The interior of the hotel is less grand but functional and nice, the exterior looks great as it is set up for weddings, we were quite impressed by how well kept it all was. We came in the Autumn and quite enjoyed the spooky vibes of the tower and grounds, but would definitely come back again in summer.

This is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We revisited for a night to celebrate our wedding anniversary 26 years after actually getting married at Bosworth Hall. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. The ambience of the hotel is is very elegant, with classic décor and furnishings. Bar prices are very reasonable at £12.50 for a pint of lager and a large glass of wine. We didn't eat there in the evening but the breakfast was really good, freshly baked pastries and a good selection of cooked breakfast items. The grounds are absolutely stunning and well worth a nice stroll.

The room was absolutely fine. We had a great view. It was a mother and daughter trip so we did spend a lot of time in the pool which was great. The only downside was the evening meal that we had on our last night £17.99 per person we had only an hour as there wasn’t many people booked in, the food was not good at all very dry. The starters didn’t seem to make sense for example there was pate but nothing to put the pate on, the desserts were totally dry and inedible, we definitely wouldn’t be eating at the restaurant again, which is unfortunate as it is convenient that it’s there but it was a letdown.

Chelsea

Large comfortable room, everywhere very tidy. I had a good nights sleep and the shower was excellent. Went for their evening meal and breakfast package, and whilst I did not expect much for this I really was very pleasantly surprised. As a stopover on business it worked well. The place was rammed, and behind the smiles the staff were clearly a little too few in number and working their socks off, but it worked, it worked really well and I enjoyed my stay. I had seen reviews stating the food wasn't great, but at this price point what do you expect- it is genuinely superb value

Breakfast was excellent and staff very kind and helpful. We love this hotel because there are lots of pleasant places to sit when spending time in the hotel. We made this booking as we were visiting family in a village 3 miles away, I was concerned when I realised there were discos and tribute nights on over the weekend but I have to say there was no noise whatsoever to be heard in our part of the hotel. We stayed there five nights in total and were very happy.
